Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Jenn, and I started Space for Us because small organizations often carry big responsibilities while working with tools and processes that make the work harder than it needs to be.

At the center of my work is a practical interest in how people and places shape each other. The conditions around us affect what we notice, what we can access, how much stress we carry, how connected we feel, and what choices seem available. That is why I care about maps, data, communication, public spaces, and internal systems. They are all ways of understanding how life is actually organized, and where it can be made easier, clearer, or more humane.

I work with small governments, nonprofits, schools, and teachers because those are the places where systems show up in ordinary life. They shape what people can access, what gets missed, what gets answered, and what falls on someone to figure out alone. The people most affected by a process are not always the people it was designed around. Small improvements in those places can have a real effect.

I believe good work starts by paying attention. It starts with noticing what people are dealing with, building better ways to respond, and helping organizations stay connected to the communities they serve.

Through Space for Us, I design simple, practical tools that help organizations keep track of concerns, work with information more clearly, and communicate more reliably with residents, students, parents, and other stakeholders. That might look like a request system, a reporting workflow, a dashboard, or another process that keeps important information from getting buried.

My approach is grounded in how people actually work. I am not interested in asking a small organization to reshape itself around complicated software or expensive subscription tools. I listen, figure out what is needed, and build systems that fit the structure already there. The goal is to make something clear, usable, and worth continuing to use.

I hold a master’s degree from Miami University and bring more than 15 years of experience working across data, systems, public service, applied research, GIS, urban planning, and communication.

What matters to me is that strong tools and thoughtful analysis should not be reserved for large institutions with big budgets or access to major consulting firms. Small governments, schools, nonprofits, and community-serving organizations deserve well-designed systems too.
